- Why Summit?
Brian is a vice president/chief operating officer and a founding member of Summit Financial Corporation. He has over thirty years of experience in the employee benefits industry. Prior to joining Summit Financial in 1993, Brian spent the first part of his career in retirement plan administration working for American Fiduciary Corporation, a large regional third-party administration firm. He then joined Allmerica Financial as an outside service representative in their Boston sales office before going on to become one of Summit Financial’s founders.
In addition to being a retirement plan account manager, Brian is also responsible for the business operation of Summit. His responsibilities include accounting/finance, IT, and day-to-day office management. Brian was also responsible for Summit’s 2008 acquisition of The Capital Benefits Group, a Maynard, Massachusetts-based health-and-welfare consulting firm.
Brian currently maintains the following professional designations awarded by The American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries: Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), and Certified Pension Consultant (CPC).
Brian lives in North Reading, Massachusetts, with his wife, Ellen, daughter, Kylee, and twin sons, Ryan and Dylan. In addition to spending time with his family, Brian enjoys golfing and is actively involved in coaching youth sports.
